Terms of Service

1. Agreement

By creating an account or using ResumeShareIQ, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. What We Provide

ResumeShareIQ is a resume hosting and tracking platform. We provide:

• Hosted resume pages with shareable links
• Engagement analytics showing who viewed your resume and how they interacted
• AI-powered resume analysis and insights
• Email notifications about resume activity
• A recruiter contact form so viewers can reach you directly

Features vary by plan (Free or Pro). We may add, modify, or discontinue features with reasonable notice.

3. Your Account

• You must provide accurate information when creating an account
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials
• One account per person. Automated account creation is prohibited
• You must be at least 16 years old to use the service

4. Your Content

You retain full ownership of the resumes and documents you upload. By uploading content, you grant us a limited license to host, serve, and display it to people you share your link with. This license ends when you delete the content or your account.

You agree not to upload content that:

• Infringes on intellectual property rights of others
• Contains malware, viruses, or harmful code
• Is fraudulent, deceptive, or misrepresents your qualifications
• Violates any applicable law or regulation

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the service for any purpose other than professional resume sharing
• Attempt to access other users' accounts or data
• Circumvent rate limits, tier restrictions, or security measures
• Scrape, crawl, or programmatically access the service without authorization
• Use the service to harass, spam, or send unsolicited communications
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code

6. Payments & Subscriptions

• Pro subscriptions are billed monthly through Stripe
• You can cancel at any time. Access continues until the end of the billing period
• Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis
• We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice to existing subscribers
• Introductory pricing is locked in for the duration of your continuous subscription

7. Resume Viewer Tracking

When someone views a resume hosted on ResumeShareIQ, we collect engagement data as described in our Privacy Policy. Resume owners are responsible for informing viewers that their resume link includes engagement tracking, if required by applicable law.

We do not display tracking banners to viewers to preserve a clean reading experience. The tracking is passive and does not require viewer interaction or consent mechanisms beyond the link itself.

8. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. Upon termination, your data is deleted as described in our Privacy Policy.

9. Limitation of Liability

ResumeShareIQ is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

We do not guarantee the accuracy of engagement analytics, company detection, or AI-generated insights. These features use heuristics and third-party data that may be incomplete or incorrect.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms as the service evolves. Material changes will be communicated via email to registered users. Continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
